yKAN Ski/Snowboarding Day Trip

Event Details
After many requests, on Saturday, February 20th, yKAN will be going on a day ski/snowboarding trip to Windham Mountain. Come spend a day at Windham Ski resort for a day of skiing/snowboarding. Beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers/snowboards are welcome for this trip.
We will take a bus from Grand Hyatt Hotel to the Windham Mountain for an all day fun in the snow. On the bus ride, you can either socialize or sleep. We'll have snacks for the bus ride.
If you would like to join us for the day of fun on the snow, please RSVP by 5 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. It is a limited space event, first come, first serve. So act fast!

Bring/Wear:
waterproof pants and jackets, gloves, goggle/sunglass, hat, scarf, skis or board (rentals available), dry clothes to change into, cash for lunch. AVOID wearing cotton next to your skin!

About Windham:
Windham Mountain offers skiing, riding and winter fun for the whole group, just two hours from the New York metro area. With the Catskills’ highest vertical and 98% snowmaking coverage, Windham makes the most of Northeast winter. Our world-class snowmaking crew blankets over 700 acres with a thick base of snow and grooms our natural snow for the best ski conditions in the East.
New trails, the longest of the three trails is a classic New England intermediate off of the East Peak that winds it way down the forest and into the greater trail system. The two other trails, while a bit shorter, have the same characteristics and will greatly improve access both portions of the mountain.
It's also wonderfully beginner-friendly... with special beginner packages.
Event Policy:
Event will occur rain or shine. There are no refunds. Please view the Cancellation Policy. Please arrive 15 minutes before the bus departs. The bus will leave promptly at 6 AM from Grand Hyatt Hotel and at 4:15 PM from the mountain.
On the Wednesday of the event, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of the exact meeting location, itinerary, and organizer's contact information.

The young Korean American Network (yKAN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization of 1.5 and 2nd generation Korean-Americans who strive for the advancement of all Korean-Americans in the mainstream of American society.
Officially inaugurated on August 30, 1990, the organization’s membership has grown over the past 20 years. Our members are Korean-American professionals, representing every industry and academic field.
Our mission is to elevate Korean-American professionals by fostering educational programs, community service, and networking opportunities. Through these activities yKAN addresses the issues of our community and provides a forum for those who share common experiences and face similar challenges.
Through our combined efforts, yKAN will undoubtedly lead to a better standing for the Korean-American community and open doors of opportunities for current and future generations.
Our Objectives:
- Create a professional network to facilitate the even exchange of ideas and common goals among all Korean American professionals
- Foster a professional Korean-American presence in our community by sponsoring educational programs and opportunities
- Promote social awareness and activism through community service
- Foster mutual understanding between Korean-Americans and other ethnic groups
- Promote greater opportunities for the current and future generations of all Korean Americans
